Midnight Madness Sketch #69

For my Midnight Madness Design card, I used a cute stamp from one of our sponsors (Prairie Fairy) called "Pretty Gillian". She is sooooo darn cute! I colored and shaded her with my copic artist markers. My papers are by bazzill and basic grey.

Hello! I am Roberta from Prairie Fairy Designs. I am a digital stamp company featuring artwork not only created by me but also my two kids, ages 9 and 12. They are featured on the site as the Fairy Princess and the Prairie Prince.
I have been an artist for as long as I can remember and have always loved to create. Two years ago my sister-in-law invited me to a rubber stamp party. I laughed and said "Maybe I will buy something if I can use it to stamp on canvases.". Needless to say, I was hooked! Two years later, a lot of learning about computers, and a few setbacks with web stuff (I am so not tech savvy!) I finally accomplished my goal. We have been around since the spring and still growing.
If you have any questions about going digital, check out the site and the blog (http://www.prairiefairy.blogspot.com/) for more information, tips and tutorials. So head on over to http://www.prairiefairydesigns.com/ and check it out!
Along with this stamp set you will get one free digi from their store!

Thank you so much Roberta!!

Wink Wink Ink Button Bear Altered Tin

For this weeks Wink Wink Ink image, I used blue button bear. Melanie has already provided a colored image for me that was included with her stamp group. After layering parts of my bear I added pop dots for dimension. For the inside of my tin I have 8 chocolate nuggets wrapped in coordinating blue papers.

For the back view of my altered tin, I have a message that says, "Congratulations on the birth of your baby boy". The top has multiple pieces of ribbons for my tin's handle and decoration.

Wink Wink Ink hosts a month challenge on CDAC. This months challenge is to use metal somewhere on your project. Why not join in and enter! You have until the 31st!

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave me a comment! It is very much appreciated!

The Pixie Cottage Challenge #33 Back to School

For my design card for The Pixie Cottage this week I used Pumpkin Molly by Eileen Gutierrez.
I remember both of my children going on field trips/class trips every fall to the Pumpkin Patch.
It was the highlight of elementary school in the fall. I used K &Company cardstocks as well as bazzill. Flowers are by Prima and ribbon trims are from my stash!

It's another Once Upon A Wednesday and we have another fabulous sketch from Pam.
Sadly Pam has had some health issues that have forced her to step down from creating cards for us but she has a lasting legacy here as she created many wonderful sketches and we will continue using them to honor her time with us.

The challenge along with the sketch this week is a great one, "Back To School".
If your children haven't already gone back then they will be very soon and it's the perfect time to celebrate the upcoming school year.

You don't have to use a Pixie Cottage Stamp to enter but if you do have why not try out!
Remember you can use the sketch, the theme or both and can combine our challenge with any others you like!

One randomly picked winner will get their choice of 2 Pixie Cottage Stamps and the Design Teams Top Three entries will get to display the winners badge on their blog.
Winners will be announced on the Friday following the end of the challenge.

I am linking this card to these challenges:
Frosted Designs - Back To School
Paper Cutz - Anything Goes
Stampin For The Weekend - Anything Goes
Auds Sentiments - Anything Goes
Res Q - "Some Me Time" (use favorite things, mine are my Copic's, ribbons and flowers)

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave comments for me. It is very much appreciated!

Creative Card Crew Challenge Digi Shack

a

This is my design card this week for the Creative Card Crew. I used this cute little dog image from the Digi Shack. He is reminiscent of myself in a morning when a lot of stuff is going wrong. My papers were by Doodlebug and my cardstocks were by Bazzill. My adorable image was colored with copics and layered several times. Flowers were by Prima.

Hello and Welcome back! We want to thank you all for coming by and playing along with us! We had an AMAZING turnout for our last challenge...we wish there could be more than one winner! But alas, we can only choose one! Mr. Random.org has chosen and the winner is:
That is:
with this cutie:
Joni, please contact Janna at CreativeCardCrew@aol.com to claim your prize!

Now onto our new challenge! This time, Maria has chosen a theme of Sparkle and Shine! Our sponsor is the wonderful Toni at The Digi Shack!
Here's a little about the company:

TDS just celebrated our first birthday in May of this year and it’s been a wonderful year. TDS was born out of the want to have a super cute eclectic line of images in rubber. Unfortunately the cost of having any sort of actual stamp made was way beyond my budget at the time and digi’s were just getting popular so I thought it was a good place to start. After I discovered how popular digi’s were becoming I changed my mind on going into actual stamps. That’s not to say someday we won’t change our minds but for now, digi’s are a fast, economical way to paper craft, not to mention the instant gratification of placing your order and having your images in just minutes.
Since we’ve opened we’ve had a few independent artists create images for us. We are lucky to have two very talented artists working with TDS right now. Marlene Shaw and Brian Lock. Both are amazingly talented and really popular with our fan base. They are the best artists to work with and they are 100% original which means so much to TDS because we strive to not having images like everyone else! All of our original images (not drawn by Marlene or Brian) are just $1 which is just about a third of the cost of most digis. Even our Brian Lock and Marlene Shaw image line is just $2 per individual image. Quite a steal if you think about it. TDS releases new images often. At least monthly but sometimes bi-weekly. We love what we do and hope that you stop by and see what we have in our digi shop.”

The prize this time is the winner's choice of digis from TDS!

I am entering this card into the following challenges

Fab N Funky - Favorite Colors
Paper Pretties - Ribbon
Stampin B's - Create a Scene
I Did It - Anything Goes
Sew Many Challenges - Stitching

Wink Wink Ink Owlfie!

Here is a cute little card that I made for one of my design cards for Wink Wink Ink Stamps. This cute little guy's name is Owlfie! He was colored with my copics. (Hint, I did start with Melanies owlfie digital that was already colored. I added a lot of darker tones of warm grays as well as oranges and creams to change out my image some) Owlie was also hand cut out and layered up to 4 times for dimension. Papers were Bazzill & Yellow Bicycle. Flowers& leaves were by Prima and my gem stones were by Paper Studio. (hint: I colored my gem stones with my copics to add some color. With alcohol based markers the color adheres to those clear rhinestones quite nicely!)

I added metal keys for the Wink Wink Ink Challenge this month of using metal on your card.
The way that this card folds allows for a hidden message inside!

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave me a comment! It is greatly appreciated!
