Pixie Cottage Sketch #50 Party Celebration

This is my last Pixie Cottage Challenge card for the year.  This is one of my favorite images.( From You to Us by Di Carubia) I was helping my friends daughter create a card for her mom and needless to say Jessie got a little carried away with the brown chalk.  I know that her mom will love it though!
Hopefully all your Christmas cards are made and sent and you are getting ready for the big day! This is our last Once Upon A Wednesday for the year and will run for two weeks. I'm sure you appreciate all the wonderful work the team has done for the year and will agree they need a week off ;)

Now on to the sketch, this one was designed by team member Tanya and I'm sure you'll love it!

In addition to the sketch we have the optional challenge of the "Party/Celebration" theme on your project. You can interpret that in many ways, maybe New Years, Birthday, Anniversary or even the birth of a New Baby!

As always you can use the sketch or the optional technique or both!

The randomly picked winner will win two stamps of their choice from the Pixie Cottage Collection. The winner and the Top 3 favorites will be announced on the Friday after the challenge ends.

Challenges that I am entering are:
Bunny Zoe = Sparkle and Shine
Mad For Markers - Anything Goes
One Stitch At A Time - Anything Goes
Alys Sunday - Anything Goes
The Crafty Pad - Anything Goes

Creative Card Crew Wintery Birthday!

For my Creative Card Crew Design card for this week, I decided to use one of my snowmen paperpiecings.  I have been busy making loads of scrapbook layouts lately, for presents and friends alike.  I just love this cute little whimsical snowman.  He is a paper piece pattern from My Scrap Chick.  I centered him on a embossed background with some ink distressing.  He was especially designed for my friend who is a snowman lover!  Papers were by Bazzill and Mindseye.  Glitter was added for bling!

Creative Card Crew Foliage and or Open Challenge!

This week's challenge at Creative Card Crew is Foliage and is sponsored by One Stop Cards and  Doodle Pantry.  For my design card for this challenge I used a FREEBIE image from Doodle Pantry.  Isn't this just the cutest little bird?  She was colored with my copic markers and sponged with Tim Holtz distressed tumbled glass.  My papers are by bazzill and Minds Eye.  Sentiment is from stampin up.  Laces are from my stash.  Flowers are by Prisma.  (I added some glitter for extra bling on my flowers and image)

Why not grab your own FREEBIE (they have several to choose from at Doodle Pantry) and join in on this weeks challenge!  I am looking forward to seeing your creations!

Pixie Cottage Challenge 46 Sketch and or Let It Snow Theme

For my design card for this weeks Pixie Cottage Challenge I used a adorable Christmas stamp called Candy Cane Wishes by ArTish. I painted and shaded my image with my inktense watercolor pencils.  My papers were by My Minds Eyes Christmas Line.  One of my snowflake MS punches was used for the bottom border.

Photobucket

After following the sketch, I kept looking at this card and thought that it was a little too plain for my taste, so I added loads of prima flowers as well as ribbons and more glitter.  So here is a picture of my finished project!

It's time for another sketch and theme challenge here on Once Upon A Wednesday!

We have a great sketch if you'd like to give it a try.

In addition to the sketch we have the optional challenge of a "Let It Snow" theme on your project.
As always you can use the sketch or the optional technique or both!
