Creative Card Crew Challenge of Dies/Punches and our sponsor Delicious Doodles!

Denise CCC Challenge Die Cuts DDoodles

For my DT card for this challenge I used one of our sponsors images carlled Hydranga and Butterfliy.  I printed out my image 2x.  After cutting out the center, and edges of both of my images, I colored them with my Tim Holtz distressed markers.  Using my spellbinders, I cut out both the black backgound image as well as my surrounding blue cardstock.  I then layered all of my images and backgrounds.  Crystal lacquer was added fo my frame and background and then allowed to dry overnight.  The result was my beautifl dimensional image.   Using my rectangle spellbingers, I then layered my back grojnd butterfly paper and added pink coordinating ribbon.  I have to say that this is one of my favorite cards in person.  The results were very elegant.

This fortnight we are sponsored by Delicious Doodles

They have so many fabulous images and one lucky person will win their choice of 4 digi's!

Our challenge for the next fortnight is to use punches and/or dies on your project.

Tutorial Tea Bag Candy Holder Box Using Flower Set Digital Delights!

Today I am hosting Tutorial Monday over at Digital Delights  To make my cute little box just follow these easy directions!  I used Graphic 45 Oriental Cardstock.  It took about a half a sheet of 12x12 cardstock.  I put tea bags in mine, but candy also makes a nice treat and Giradelli Chocolates fit in perfectly!  I colored and shaded my flower image with Tim Heltz Distressed Markers.  Super Easy and loads of fun!

Supplies Needed:
one 31/2" x 7 3/4"  piece of cardstock
one 6 1/2" x 7" piece of cardstock (coordinating)
Martha Stewart or any  other scoring tool
Strong adhesive tape or glue (I use fabric tac by Beacon)
25 " piece of ribbon
1 1/4 circle or tag punch
Stamps (I used Flower Set by Digital Delights)
Additional cardstock and embellishements to decorate the front.

Step by Step

Step one:
Place 3 1/2 x 7 3/4" piece of cardstock in your scorer.
Score at 3 1/2"

Step two:
Score at 4 1/4

Step  three:
Prefold both score lines.

Step four:
Line the 6 1/2" side of the  coordinating cardstock piece up with the top of the scorer
Score at 1/2"

Step five:
Score same coordinating cardstock  at 3 1/2"

Step six:
Prefold your score lines.  Apply fabric tac (glue) or strong tape to inside of 1/2" strip

Step seven:
Fold over top flap (with glue) and adhere to folded edge
 Step eight:
Score sleeve at 3 5/8"

Step nine:
Turn sleeve 180 degrees, score again at 3 5/8"

Step ten:
Prefold fold lines

Step thirteen:
Glue edge down to outside coordinating piece(piece that was finished first and set aside)

Delightful Challenges, Stash It, Lovin the USA and Pampered Paws Digital Paper!

Jumbly stash it challenge
For my Delightful Challenge DT project for today, I used Wendy's adorable digital called Lovin the USA Bongo.  My cute little doggie was printed out on my printer and then colored and shaded with my copics.  My designer doggie DP was also one of Wendy's designer paper packs called Pampered Paws Digital Paper Set!    I used ribbon and solid cardstock from my stash!  My ribbon started out white but I colored the ribbon with one of my brown copics.  I especially like to do this, not only because I get any color I want but it makes the ribbon a little stiffer.

We have a great new challenge for you this week.

We would love for you to
Stash It!!
