Digital Delights & Festive Flowers!

Digital Delights Flurry Snowman and Flowers Denise
For my  Digital Delight Challenge card for this week, I have used one of Wendy's adorable images called Flurry the Snowman.  He was printed out on watercolor paper and then colored and shaded with my Tombow watercolor markers.  I colored my cream ribbon blue by using my blue copic marker.  Poinsetta flowers were colored with a Tim Holtz distressed ink pad.  Stickles were added for extra color and bling!  My card stocks are from this years Christmas collection from MyMindsEye.  I also added crystal lacquer to Flurry's light to simulate glass.
We have for you a fun new challenge this week. We would love to see your Festively Floral (Add Flowers) project!

Creative Card Crew and Challenge of Anything Goes!

For my  projects for this bi-weekly challenge, I used two stamps from Northwood stamps and one stamp from an old SU Christmas set.  My cardstock  is from this year's My Mindseye Christmas  line.  It  is always amazing to me how much just adding a different solid behind the same line changes the look.  My gingerbread card was stamped in momento ink and colored and shaded  with my copics.  My candbar cover image was stamped in momento ink and colored and shaded with copics.

Digital Delight Challenges Give Thanks!

I needed a cookie box for a Thanksgiving gift, so I used one of Wendy's adorable Indians and one of her  adorable Pilgrims for my box.  They were colored and shaded with copics. For the grass I used two different colors of green Bazzill cardstock and my MS grass punch.  My fence is another MS punch (Halloween) punch.   I simply cut off the bats.  I have a old fiscars cloud punch that I used on the background.  I am planning on filling this box  with Thanksgiving cookies to take to our Thanksgiving celebration with family!
Thankful [cards for giving thanks, thank you or thanksgiving]

Hostess Monday and Christmas Treat Bag Tutorial!

Hello!  I am the Hostess for Digital Delight this Monday!

For this week's hostess Monday, I am doing a tutorial on a Christmas Treat Bag!  I hope you like it!

Supplies Needed:
8 1/2" x 11" Sheet Colored Cardstock
Cardstock scraps for front of box
Edge Punch
Cropadile
Scorer
Scissors
Roll of Sticky Strip Adhesive
Stamps
Ribbon
Joyful Jamie (colored)

Magical winter sentiments

Step-by-Step Directions:
Step 1
Position cardstock lengthwise. Using scoring bone folder, score cardstock at 2", 5", 7", and 10".

Step 2
Turn cardstock, and score at 2" and 7".

 Step 3
Hold cardstock horizontally with the 2" section at the top.
Use scissors to cut off all but one 2" tall section from the top of the cardstock as shown. This will be the flap closure for the box. Make vertical cuts at the bottom to create 1 1/2" tall flaps, and cut off the narrow piece. This will be the bottom of the box.

Step 4
Cut the narrow piece at an angle to create tab for adhesive. Apply adhesive strips
Fold scored lines with a bone folder.  Remove top layer of adhesive.
Construct box.  (Add adhesive to all edges of box to adhere flaps

Step 5
Punch edge of front flap.
Pinch top sides of boxes and bend only top of box to form top of box.

Step 6
Punch two holes in flap with cropadile through all box layers (or any hole punch)
(I punched a little off even with premarking where to put my holes, but it still looks great when it is all done)

Step 7
Thread ribbon through holes on box. Center ribbon. Tie in a knot

Step 8
Decorate front of box with scrap cardstocks and or image of your choice (I used Digital Delights Joyful Jamie for the front  of my  treatbox along with the Magical Christmas Sentiments.  She was colored and shaded with my copics!  I just love coloring her and have used her many times so far for my projects!)
I also used the corner rounder for my corners of my box

Enjoy filling and giving!
Hugs
Denise

Digital Delights Joyful Jamie and Snowflakes

For this weeks Digital Delight Challenge, I used the adorable image called Joyful Jamie for the focal point of my pillow style treat box.   She was printed out on the computer and then colored and shaded using copic markers.  My cardstocks are from a DCWV Christmas stack from a couple of years ago.  I used MS punches for bothe of my showflakes.  Silver rhinestones were added on my cuttlebug snowflake background.  My pillow box was cut out with my Eclips cutter and the boxes & bags cartridge.

Creative Card Crew and Challenge of using Blue and Silver!

For my Creative Card Crew card I used one of Krista's Saturated Canary images.  Our challenge was to use silver  and blue. Although it  is hard to see I have a metallic silver layer between myimage and blue cardstock.  I also added many silver rhinestones around my image!  My adorable image was colored and shaded with my copic markers.  Flowers are by Prima, metal tag was by SU, and my cardstock is by Bo Bunny.

Our challenge for this fortnight is Silver and Blue. Silver and Blue must be the dominate colors used.
Our sponsor for this week's challenge is Simon Says Stamp.  They have loads of supplies from papers to flowers to stamps!  Stop by and see their new items.
